Imagine all the People, Living Life in Peace...

Youhoooooo, You may say, I'm a dreamer...

Hey come back. We can make this better.

Why won't anyone listen?

I was taking a photo (couldn't say shooting as it seemed inappropriate somehow) of this John Lennon Lego portrait on the wall at the museum and a boy walked by, photobombing. I found the timing rather poignant.

I can't play much on the piano with only 6 lessons as a kid, but I can play this song. My mom taught it to me. This, Heart and Soul and Chopsticks.

I don't think that things are shaping up or getting better. I don't think that we will see peace on this side of heaven. But when I see snapshots of goodness and love and compassion, my heart is warmed and I find hope.
What a poignant presentation! I would never have thought to have the boy blurring by (I think I just made up a verb) as symbolic of no one listening--really powerful, Amanda!

Lovely sentiment, Amanda.

I agree with your sentiments entirely and heard John Lennon singing Imagine on the radio only yesterday and thought the same thing as you. If only we could see a world of harmony and peace - it really would be the best start to a new year! Fav for this nice shsot

good shot - and it's what incresingly appeals to me about photography from around the world, especially street stuff which reminds us of how people are just going about their daily lives and reminds us with glimpses of humanity that people are people ...

Great shot...great narrative...I worry for the world

A great capture and narrative. Fav! 😃

Impressive capture, interesting observations. I'm inclined to agree and wonder what our 'leaders' are doing in our name ?? Guns, killings, drought, floods, bush fires, pollution - not a brilliant outlook. 8-(

We have to keep trying though, never give up. I love his music as well as the words!

Love the blurred photo bomber - makes it so much more poignant.

I like how he stares at the viewer over the heads of the exhibit visitors.

Sadly, our blurred photo-bomber seems to be ignoring this powerful message... maybe more people will listen in 2016?? Poignant.

What you capture in words and images move everyone who experiences them down that path a bit more. Thank you for sharing

What a beautiful sentiment! And I love the addition of the photobomber. I think it really adds to the shot...I mean, photo.

Poignant image and words Amanda.

Great art and wonderful capture...

If we all followed this song, the world would be such a wonderful place. Ah, dream on...

I like how this juxtaposes the stillness with movement. And we can all do our little bit towards peace . . .

The blurred photobomb added a nice human presence to the scene! ALso CJ the Legographer is very proud of the artist who put this picture together.

Great shot love that movement

I don't know if the photo was taken because this is what you envisioned or if you got photobombed but put it to good use with your words?
As long as there are despots in the world the world won't ever see complete peace.

@skipt07 I was bombed and was at first annoyed. Come on, kid, pay attention (in my mind), but then I had this idea and it is really a better photo because of it. It speaks something important.
