The Torturous Family Christmas Portrait

I'm done, throwing in the towel with attempting to take my family's portraits.

They turn me into a monster. Nobody seems to care much or really want to participate.

I get arguments about clothing, why we should not wear shoes (this was from an adult!!), do I really need to brush my hair etc. etc.

I just want a nice, respectable photo so that we can remember us at this time. Is that too much to ask?

I took a total of 5 or so shots and then was DONE. We were all done.

Not great, but not bad. Not a memorable experience.

I suppose we just need to hire somebody in the future to avoid the torture.

This is fabulous ..... Well worth all the drama ....I now set up everything and take a couple test shoots before I call everyone in for pictures it really seems to help. Keep up the good work ....

sounds just like my family photo shoots, my kids are the worst for me, you would think after all I do for them that they would take one good photo without me having to bribe or threaten them 😳😂

Oh Amanda, I can relate to you totally. I have the same experience when I try to take them. "I want to stand next to you" etc... It turns me into a monster as well. Ahhh. This turned out just fine, if we hadn't heard the backstory we'd never have known.
