My Last Evening as Jourdyn's Coach

This year I participated as a coach/mentor in a high school senior scholarship program at my church.

I got to be Jourdan's mentor for the year. This smart, spunky gal is to be the first generation in her family to go to college. I pray that she will succeed in all she sets met mind to and she will make a great difference in the world.

I'm blessed to know her and hope she keeps me posted on her progress.
I considered taking a tripod and my good camera, but come on!:) A cell snap will do.

Cell phones definitely have their place . Great job giving back to the community. Nothing better than helping another person to better their life.

Mentoring is *so* rewarding! And that reminds me — need to write to my "first" such former student: now almost-33, married, two children…
