I loved how perfect this woman looked by the weeping willow in the waterlilies. She was wonderfully accenting the piece by Monet.
I really enjoyed seeing Monet's Waterlilies in surround sound the Musee de l'Orangerie in Paris.
There are two oval rooms with gorgeous waterlily series stretched out and surrounding you with their tranquil beauty. I think I read somewhere that Monet painted them specifically for the space.
A beautiful capture, love the Monet painting in the background. Fav!! 😀. A few years ago, I visited Monet's garden at Givenchy. Did you manage to get there, it's so beautiful.
@carolmw I wanted to, hoped to... But we had so many other this to see and hubby didn't much care to. Maybe next time and during a prettier season for gardens. Figured it would be bleak.
L'Orangerie is such a dreamy place. One could walk around it like wandering on Monet's pond. the nuances, the vibrations, it absorbs you, and is as crazy as real art may be. You photographed how one feels, captured, bent like the willow's trunk. Love it!
Hi Sweet Photo Friends! Thanks so much for all of your wonderful and thoughtful comments. So glad that this one was special to many of you as well. I do appreciate each one of you and am always thankful for your support on here. I apologize for not often telling you this. There was a time when I spent entirely too much time on here-I even gave each person an individual reply for each comment. Like it was a job. These days I try to be much better balanced.
Anywho, this was a dream day, a dream place and a dream shot. So glad to have been in the right place at the right time...and I only had to edit out a tiny corner where a lady was standing holding her cell phone (and it wasn't obvious, thankfully).
love it
