Site contains local historical buildings which were damaged by the flooding last year and are not currently open. It is adjacent to a park and we often walk the dog here. Property becoming a little overgrown & I noticed the rose (?) bush reaching out to the lamppost.
love that hug that the yellow rose is giving the lamp post...as if to say we'll make it together. Is this Midland?

@jackies365 yes, Heritage Park which has some Dow historical buildings and museum and the Bradley House. Historical Society worked to clean up the flood damage last year but nothing has been reopened. Grass is getting tall, flower beds not maintained, unusual to see this so neglected.

I expect lots of places like this are similarly affected by the last year's events.

There are still so many things effected in the private sector. It looks like the funding for the maintenance of this place didn't come through or fell through when people couldn't donate. It sure does make you want to chip in and help, doesn't it? Good eye!

You should keep an eye on the rose bush. A series of shots documenting the 'embrace of the rose' is a possibility
