This bird was part of a group we spotted in an apple tree as we were walking the dog along the river. Reminds me of a blue jay but the color is wrong. Considered it might be a juvenile, or molting, or just the poor light (very overcast) making it hard to spot any blue on him?

The bill and long tail could be right for a mockingbird. It definitely appears to be molting. Did it sing? They have an interesting complex and repeating song.
