En route to Dead Horse Gap during our stay at Lake Crackenback, the track was being remade. A helicopter was making repeated trips from Thredbo with huge sacks of rock and gravel, depositing them on site where several people from a road construction company used the material to lay new track. It was fascinating to watch.
Susan, it is a remote area and for track works only really accessible by helicopter. @joansmor @wakelys
