I am continuing with images from Steamfest this week - there was so much to see and photograph and I was working all week so didn't get out and about as much as I thought I would.
This is 45 Class Diesel Electric Locomotive 4501. Built by AE Goodwin of Auburn N.S.W, it entered service in 1962 and served primarily as a heavy freight locomotive.
Diesel locomotives have to be attached to steam-hauled trains for a number of reasons - for part of Steamfest 4501 was attached to 6029 (The Garrett).
Thank you for all your amazing comments and favs on last weeks images :)
@annied I hope your email address is still the same because I have just sent a link to David's YouTube channel and also a couple of collages of the railway taken a couple of years ago.
