Cockatoo Island - machinery - 3

This week I will be posting some of the machinery from Cockatoo Island.

Okay - it's another lathe - but it is really, really big - hahaha!

Do you know what it lathes? It would have to be HUGE whatever it is!

So this is basically a place that is no longer in operation, right? I'm going to have to read up on it. It reminds me of Pennsylvania's steel mills, especially the rust photos.

Cockatoo Island seems to be photographer's paradise. A Unesco World Heritage site too (been reading up on it) ... I'm envious ..I'd keep going back to it. More lathes is fine by me... or any machinery will do!

@golftragic it would be a big job to move them hahaha but it is now a heritage site and a bit like a museum of naval history
