This week - Places - country places to be precise - from my journey inland to Devil Ark.
these housing estates offend me just as much as the f*&king bloody sh*t take up all the light and space bloody 10 mile tall apartment blocks they feel the need to build on every bloody corner - where are the trees? where is the individuality? How many bloody people do we need to squish into an area - bugger off! yuk yuk yuk!
This looks so weird slapped in the middle of countryside and all going up a hill in a row! We have a large field behind our house that they're in the process of digging up for yet more houses in our little peaceful country village which is rapidly turning into an Auckland suburb!
My feelings (and language) precisely, mate. Some of the 'overflow' from Melbourne has opted for Geelong. The council's licking their lips, the developers are in the counting-house counting out money and most of the rest of us are cursing and swearing about the extra traffic, XS people, cancerous spread of housing ruining what the people came for, and the waste of farm-land. Too many people on this planet. It's time for a re-release of Pete Seeger's famous song, I sing it all the time.
@annied Either would be applicable though the first is Bob Dylan and the latter PPM. I prefer Pete Seeger's 'Little Boxes' - all made out of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same.
@golftragic Pete Seeger wrote if I had a Hammer and Where Have All the Flowers Gone? - he is the driving force behind many artists - I am a Woody and Arlo Guthrie fan and Pete Seeger was a great friend of theirs
