Picton - Signal Box by annied

Picton - Signal Box

Constructed in 1919 it is a timber structure with windows on three sides of the upper level. The roof is hipped, clad in corrugated iron overhanging on all sides to shade the upper windows.

Note found on railpage - PICTON BOX: Next weekend 20/21 January 2007 the signalling at Picton will rationalised and signalling control relocated to the ARTC Network Control Centre South at Junee. Picton will remain staffed for the time being to operate the Tahmoor Colliery Interlocking.
Oh my, an iron roof! That building isn’t going anywhere. It looks like it has been maintained well for these last 100 years too.
