I hoped to get some motivation and inspiratin with the 30 day challenge and it seems to have worked. Not a stellar painting but the first offering in months for me. After I took the photo I could see some things I wanted to change and may still do that but I also am aware of overdoing it and making it worse
@grammyn Of course you shouldn't fix it (whatever you see fixable). This is ADORABLE. Are you sure you haven't painted in the meantime? It totally doesn't look like it was painted by an unexperienced hand. Yes, I admit that the subject matter could bias me a bit. But no, it does not. Or does it? But I love it so much. Here's a thought: don't fix anything on this. Instead, paint it again. You can use the same colours or other colours. Just see where it takes you. And apply the 'fixes' on a blank paper. It will surely be a very interesting experience.
Did I say I love this?
@grammyn fabulous Katy. It is instantly recognisable as a sweet gentle owl. I love the simplicity of it and the warmth captured in its eyes. ( now your going to tell me it was a self portrait 🤣).
@grammyn - look at you painting an owl, something i wouldn't even dare. i agree with monika's @monikozi suggestion. looking forward to your next one. aces!
@salza Thank you Sally. For some reason it looks more like a baby owl to me @monikozi I am always buoyed up by your comments and I love the idea of "fixing" it in an entirely new painting. I am so happy you like this Thank you @kjarn That makes me very happy Kathy @joansmor Thank you so much Joan @wakelys LOL! How did you guess it is a self protrait?! So glad you like it @summerfield High praise coming form an artist. I hope omeday to be able to paint like your sister and not use a photo to copy from @30pics4jackiesdiamond Aww shycks. So glad you like it. Every intention of spending more time at it in the future @randystreat thank you Kathy There is room for imporovement but it could be worse too

I rather like your owl! He is giving you a real Paddington hard stare and has such a lot of character in it. Well done @grammyn
