here, one needs a permit to do that and there are specific spots where one is allowed. that said, people are generally receptive (at least where i am) of activities like this although there's always the odd one who would cause mischief or trouble just because they wanted to. i don't fancy myself doing this, though - the people with real talent would be laughing at me.
Heheee... If I could paint like that, I probably would. But at my skill level, I stick to the corner with the back at the wall and moreover, to a rather small format (A5 or A6). Anyhow, if I did go out like that, I would probably need a permit for a fortnight.... to paint that scene :D :D :D

I do go out and sketch, but rarely - and I can find a million reasons to stay at home :D
