I must've passed this place 100 times on the way to Pine Grove state park but never once stopped to go in. There were times that it looked a little bit on the sketchy side. Recently we found out that there is a little restaurant inside and we decided to check it out. It was like an old fashioned general store complete with supplies of all kind especially camping and fishing gear. We took our meal outside and sat at a picnic table and it was very nice. Makes me want to go camping again!
That sounds like it could be a wonderful spot you have found. I love camping too, but our wings are clipped at the moment with my aged mother alone at home - difficult to get away now without employing someone to be here.
@seacreature I know how you feel believe me. We have a caregiver stay with my father-in-law three days a week and that has helped immensely. But if we want to go anywhere over night we have to make help is lined up. Luckily there are a couple famly members we can call for help.
