We're safe and sound in Iceland, dreadfully horrid weather, incredible sights, scenery and hotel AND a magical moment this morning at Keflavik International Airport.
You may have read in my journal the last weeks that my one disappointment about our trip was that I would not be able to have a second blipmeet with my longtime Icelandic blip pal, Hrund. Five years ago we met in the States and I always wanted to return to Iceland and see her again. sadly, when I told her our dates I could not believe our luck. She would be out of the country with her sister and mother, off to Scotland to celebrate her mother's birthday the exact dates we planned to be here. I was really sad about it, but just figured we would have to plan another trip, or she would have to come to visit us.
THEN, we ran into each other this morning at the airport moments after we landed as she was going to her departure gate!!! I wish i had a photograph of our faces when we looked into each others eyes as T and I emerged from the stairs that they were just planning to descend. A blipmeet meant to be, a magical coincidence, a joy!

This day came in rainy, cold and windy after a turbulent flight, but we don't care, everything is incredible and picture perfect.
All hands overwhelmed by the beauty, the hotel, the blipmeet.
