Having spent another morning in hospital on a pre op assessment ,and after having a late lunch ,I had no idea what I could find to photograph As I was going out to feed my big birds (pigeons ) I noticed the little fuchsia in the kitchen window box was still blooming in spite of looking rather worse for wear and with not too many leaves left !! What a little trooper !!
Well Spotted Beryl, my Grandad and Dad were nurserymen and champion fuchsia growers, I loved playing making ballets with the flowers as a child - this brought back wonderful memories - Thank You and good luck for the op x
Indeed a wonderful splash of colour among the gloom Beryl. Mind you we have had a bright dry day here today so can't grumble...no fuchsias out though!
Hope all went well at the hospital.
Pretty little fuchsias, one of my favourite flowers. Hope the pre op assessment went well - we will definitely have to call you the bionic woman going forward!
Beautiful. I just love fuchsias but never had much success growing them in the UK. I got one when we first got married back when Noah was a lad and it flowered like billy-o but then it died. Too hot here now to grow them especially in our sandy soil.
@khirsch Thanks for your good wishes --Op is on the 24 feb I am having a knee replacement but have pre op physio next week ! All big joints affected with osteoarthritis Had a shoulder replacement last Aug -- the other one needs doing as well --- but one at the time !!!
Hope all went well at the hospital.
