I saw this delightful little plant at the Garden Centre the other day and was so pretty in pink and also in white -- the name has eluded me and I do not think I got round to read its requirements -- whether hardy or not !! these days the majority of my garden is herbaceous , perennial and some evergreens !! easier to care for and I have a reasonable show throughout the spring / summer months !
@julzmaioro Thanks Julia -yes it was one of the campanula species - but as the flower was bigger than the common variety -- I wondered how hardy they would be !!
My book says sunny places with light sandy soil... but this is a NZ garden book.. I remember growing them years ago in the summer time.. you may have to wait till your spring to plant..
I bought one of these last year. I think the name began with a 'P' but can't remember it. I loved the tone of it and the way the flowers opened up from buds. Afraid it didn't do well - hope you have more luck with yours.
