The 1st of March and it is St Davi's day -- the celebration of the Patron Saint of Wales and the daffodil is the emblem . As you may know by now - I am Welsh and have very strong feelings for Wales and every thing Welsh ! As they say -- You can take the girl out of Wales but never the Welsh out of the girl !

Lovely photo Beryl and particularly lovely on black. A very happy St David's Day to you too. I couldn't find a daffodil to take a picture of but I did find the first primrose in the garden. I hope that will do.
Happy St David's Day to you too! My grandfather was Welsh and very proud of it. He used to take me to Wales when I was a child and in fact moved back to Wales to die. He was only there a couple of weeks and that is exactly what happened. I have such fond memories of my time there. Fav
Beautifully done Beryl - I might have known that I should have checked your site on March 1st! I'm even more annoyed withy myself for not getting tickets for the St David's Day concert at St David's Hall Cardiff - Bryn Terfel was the star attraction. At least I was able to catch it on the radio.
We were in St Davids years ago. Enjoyed it very much.
