Lunch time by beryl

Lunch time

Its been a busy day -- first thing this morning I had Green Thumb out to weed my lawns , as the operator that came out a fortnight ago only fed the lawns , saying I didn't need weeding as I had no weeds -- yet I was charged the full price !! and I could see I had few weeds -- dandelions seem to be popping out all over ! Also the poor fellow tripped and dropped a huge amount of feed on the corner of my front lawn !! I found him trying to scratch with his hands to scatter the food -- I commented I would have a very green patch or a burnt patch there !! it proved to be the latter !! He did put the incident in the report book so when the patch was well and truly burnt I telephoned the company to be told by the receptionist it would grow !!! I showed my displeasure and told her so and that the chappie had put it in the report book So she conferred with the boss who said he would come out himself (with some seeds ) on Monday !!I hate complaining BUT I hate to be taken advantage of !!
My friend Pat came over later in the morning for coffee and chat ,after which I popped up to Telford , and as it was Lunch time I had a bite to eat at Sainsbury's - I had a Beef Lasagne with side salad and garlic bread -- on hindsight I should have left the garlic bread -- BUT I did enjoy it !! A little bit of what you fancy and all that !!
Now soon it will be teatime and telly !!!

Lovely candid shot Beryl, don't stress about the Lawn, but it wants to be done before winter, I have just took several plants out and reseeded a large patch, with the lovely warm days we have just had its only took a week and a half and looks wonderful, but not ready to cut yet.

Ooh a Beryl, a lovely long chat from you! Love to hear all your news & you were quite right to complain, I think the boss will be quite shocked when he sees this! You have to stand up for yourself these days! The firm sounds a bit on the defensive to me but a good firm so sure they won't want their reputation spoilt! People watching is a great pleasure! Cute baby too, mum & granny in attendance!

Funny how people with small children just cannot take their eyes of them! Good thing you have a good camera to take pictures of the burnt bit!

Lovely capture. I see it is not crowded and I like that. I often say that, calling it a 'sin' but I always repeat sinning and I don't care until I go on the bathroom scales and then I make promises which I know I won't keep.

Great candid beryl. Hope your problems are now solved

Love this, Beryl! Have you heard of Martin Parr? British photographer, well known for his photos of British classes, Upper and other :) Your photo immediately reminded me of this one: http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/s/study-room-resource-contemporary-photography/ This Is the V&A Museum site, so quite safe. Crop out the chap on the right and you have a contemporary masterpiece!

...and it deserves many more favs; but not the sort of photo that appeals to most 365ers, I think, who like pretty and colour and impact and nature and twee.. ! This one's a bit more challenging and sociological! Lovely people, though, 365ers, very nice, kind, caring :) 'Nuff said! Hope you get your lawn back to rights soon, don't let GT off the hook! :)

...or maybe, don't crop out the chap on the right. This England, 2016!

@ivan THANK YOU , Ivan - so lovely to know that a typical every day life occurance is appreciated and you have interpreted much more into this little scene than I thought possible when I sneakily took this shot with my phone !! No I had not heard of Martin Parr -- in fact I know very little about photographers (but always willing to learn !!) I shall certainly look up the link , always good to expand my knowledge with things that interest me !--nIce to keep the old grey matter alert thanks Ivan !

Thanks, Beryl, I do find other photographers, different styles, fascinating, as I say in my Profile Notes. Maybe look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Parr and http://www.dazeddigital.com/photography/article/30400/1/unseen-images-of-martin-parr-s-everyday-england
