Buddleia, ,no butterlies but plenty of bumble bees !
The buddleia have all of a sudden blossomed attracting the Bumble bees , insects but I have not seen any butterfly yet .
Been up since 4-oo am with a painful leg , hot and bothered !! -- I blame the physio yesterday !!
It is very close and muggy this morning -- but no sign of a thunderstorm yet . Pat is picking me up this morning , to take me shopping - I have phoned the stores to book the mobility scooter for my duration of shopping !
That's a beautiful capture Bery. This is a particularly pretty buddleia. More of our buddleias are flowering but still no butterflies. They seem to like the white ones the most and they're just coming out.
365 is a good think to do when you're up early because you can't sleep. I hope your day gets better. Physio is a mixed blessing. Perhaps you and Pat will have time for a nice coffee (or lunch?) while you're out.
Same here Beryl, no butterflies and plenty bees. Nice shot. Just booked a week at Pothmadog for August, taking our 7 year old grandson. I think the steam train is a must, fingers crossed for the weather.
Ours is not quite in flower yet, this is very pretty.
Hope your knee/leg settles soon, I found just after my knee replacements an ice pack worked wonders, it does take a while to settle, I empathise with you, humid weather is a killer for me, it's as bad as winter cold.
@susiemc Thanks Sue , yes amazing how one can while away the hours on 365 when one can not sleep ! I love this buddleia it is grown from a cutting I purloined from the school garden as I used to do the flower arrangement for the entrance hall when I was teaching there !
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie , suffering with Polymyalgia Rheumatica doesn't help with the muscle pain but I have liquid morphine as well as my usual painkillers , and using ice packs help -- so really its just grin and bear it and try to keep up with the physio exercises ! The hot weather does not help as Margaret @craftymeg says -- thanks Margaret - nice of you to empathise with me - the trouble is this knee seems to give me more pain than when I had the other one done (or have I forgotten the pain !!)
@gamelee Lucky you , I hope the weather will be fine for you -- your grandson should enjoy the steam train trip . I am contemplating whether to have another week in Porthmadog myself towards the end of Aug. but must get this leg going and be able to driving again before I can book accommodation !
@gijsje Thanks Bep . Even mundane grocery shopping is a treat at the moment !! and being out with my good friend is a bonus ! So I did enjoyed being out shopping and a coffee with Pat !
Lovely bee capturel Beryl your buddleia looks behind mine as it is going over now I have had loads of butterflies and now the birds are eating the seeds.Sorry to hear you are in a lot of pain hope it improves for you
@wendyfrost Thanks Wendy - I do not think the heat helps with the pain ! and of course although the wound has healed well -- all the muscles and inner parts take their time to heal !
