After a very cold and frosty morning Pat and I had a lovely day out with the sun shining on us yesterday ,. On the way we came onto a stationary queue of traffic after sitting there for some time and traffic not moving in either direction ,and either of us without much sense of dieection, we decided we could turn back and onto a narrow side road and with quite a detour we continued on our way and stopping at an antique centre for a quick mosey around and a lovely coffee before continuing to the garden centre . A lovely day out !!!
Love this...well done for having the spirit to find another way. I'm notorious for taking different routes. I have a very funny story from North Wales, with a girlfriend in an old Ford car which kept overheating. So we turned up this track and ended at a farm. All the farm people gathered around but - they could speak no English. They could not understand that the engine had stalled and we would have to wait for it to cool before we could start up and go! Something to do with the carburetor! Good holiday though, late 50s. :)
You did right to bear off & meander along an unknown way....us retired can do things like that! It looks the perfect place for a coffee & bite to eat!.
