Amaryllis - day 25

Quite tall by today but the flower buds are still quite small - I think all the strength has gone into the stem !! I have just tied it to a support to keep it upright !

Such a cold miserable day with sleet now turned to snow , with a light covering on the lawn !.- brrrrr !

I think you Amaryllis will be beautiful. William bought me back from Amsterdam an Amaryllis which has had its roots cut at the base and has been dipped in wax. Apparently, although in flower, it is dead. Am going to chip away the wax and put on soaked blotting paper - do hope I can save it.
