The workmen have started to turn our green and pleasant land into a housing development - The field seems to be mapped out with orange netting and the workmen with their YELLOW dumper truck seem to be making pathways .
@tonygig Exactly Tony , the other day two owls were circling in daylight while the men were under " their tree " ! let alone what will happen to the wildlife in the hedges !
I hate this, Beryl. Developers have grapped most of our country, tower cranes are everywhere, old two-storey buildings are being ripped apart to make way to box-like blocks and there are trucks everywhere, many blocking important roadways.
Oh this is a sad sight indeed Beryl. Your lovely view, I do feel for you. I have no idea what we are coming to building on lovely green fields. I know we need housing but half if the houses they are building in our village are too expensive for the ones who need them. I am being a NIMBY perhaps but it's a sad sight. Hope we never need these fields for food production one day, we can never replace them.
Oh dear. How sad to lose your green land. I hate to see land disappearing under the developer. We live on the very edge of town and I always worry this will happen Thank goodness the land floods regularly!!
A refreshing change from yellow flowers. We have the housing developments everywhere here, and now we have the roadworks and traffic jams as the gas mains are updated to cope with extra demand. To say nothing of numerous dodgy large potholes and road surfaces collapsing. Soon I think the area will be a massive car park with nobody able to go anywhere. Rant over.....
We're losing so much of our green land. Just 200 yards from here there were fields and bushes where our kids used to play and make dens.... now so many houses, one of which my son and family now live.
