One of my favourite roses and is a very old ,semi double bloom with splashes of pinks and cream . It is said to be named after the Fair Rosamund who was the mistress of Henry the Second 12th Century ! I remember this rose in my great Aunty Catherine's garden ( my grandmother's sister ) My dad who loved pottering in the garden grew a new bush from a cutting for our garden at home when I was a small child . After I got married and moved to my present address , dad struck another cutting by layering , for me to plant in my garden .That was around 40 years ago and although still flowering each year - the bush has gone to look rather bedraggled ( lack of proper care ! ) - Perhaps it is time I tried to take a new cutting !!
PS Pops on black !
