The hyacinth bulbs I planted in garden planter in the Autumn - are in flower - lovely to see a splash of colour .in spite of the heavy rain ,hail and sleet .as we are experiencing today .
Had a phone chat with my friend Mary who lives in Shrewsbury this morning - She is safe from the flooding but parts of the town centre is well and truly under water - the highest its been in memory , the three shopping centres are close and the road to Welshpool ,Newtown and further into Mid Wales under water and unpassable in places . Such a worrying time for man and beast especially as lambing time is near .
It’s a disaster isn’t it Beryl....something is going to have to be done...we can’t have this flooding every time it rains hard. There needs to be a plan....some people can’t get insurance....heartbreaking. Lambing time ....makes a hard time even worse! Beautiful colour of that hyacinth!
