Fatsia Japonica

In flower again in the garden - adding interest to an otherwise autumn/winter garden.
Such an unusual name for these lovely little flowers, lovely shot and presentation.

Lovely little flowers. Japonica is a word I remember from my childhood when my Dad would listen to gardening programs on the radio!

Is that its proper name, we had a plant growing up the front porch with sort of bunches of little buds like this…we thought it was an Ivy. Not sure the leaves on ours were the same as this though.
