Not the most patient of people, although I must admit I have mellowed with age! This is one of my Christmas Presents - an amaryllis ( red and white) This was planted on boxing day and today is the first view of a little green shoot appearing! I have a look at it each morning as I pass through the dining room to the kitchen! Perhaps I should greet it daily with a cheerful "good morning! "and a word of encouragement!
Yours looks like mine Beryl and the same colour too. I have tried to hold it back by keeping it cold but I noticed today it had a shoot pushing out from under the packaging.
The promise of something beautiful is in the dirt- you'll have to keep posting a shot or two of its progress. I like your dish and matching porcelain pieces too!
Never had amaryllis. I read one that that plants enjoy being talked to. If this is true or not I cannot say but if the plant is happy why not say good morning every day. Lovely pottery.
