Not a pretty sight

Something lurking in the garden .decided to bite me when I was weeding. !! The itching is driving me mad in spite of having applied an anti histamine ointment to the area.

Beryl this is awful, get a drs appointment ASAP. It’s CELLULITIS I’m almost sure, you need antibiotics , I too get it with trauma, bite, cut or a break in my skin, I even have a rescue course of tablets if I can’t get to the drs. In the meantime, don’t scratch, elevate and ice pack until you see a GP. Let me know how you get on. It will spread if not treated.

Ooh so sorry. It looks painful and itching is even worse. Maybe you need some cortisone like my Hubby has to get if he runs into poison oak.

I think it is a spider bite! Can cause different problems in different people. Keep applying the anti histamine and it will improve over a week. Cellulitis doesn't itch.

Oh that must be very uncomfortable and painful. An advice from professionals would be very helpful I would say. How you get over it in no time.

@craftymeg Thanks Maggie for your advice - managed to get to the Dr this morning - and now on antibiotics! over the latter years I have been prone to Cellulitis !!! - should have thought and done something straight away!! Thank you xx
