Still in flower in the garden , the leaves bring a light glow to the garden. Uder the fuchsia - I have a little invasive plant with bright yellow flowers - I do not know what it is and wonder if the birds have brought me a present ! A lovely little ground cover that I am pleased to have in the garden , - Can any one name this plant!!
That is a new variety to me. Beautiful soft golden leaves. Very nice capture of the colors. My grandmother used to grow fuchsia and I always loved them. Her temperatures in the San Francisco Bay Area were very much cooler and more humid than we get here in the California valley.
Your fuchsia are gorgeous, Beryl, and this is a really pretty capture and presentation! It looks super on black, too! As for your invasive plant with the yellow flowers, I took a photo of your photo to check with my plant ID app. It came up with "yellow corydalis" (botanical name: "pseudofumaria lutea") I have no idea if this is correct or not, but here's something to consider :)
@365projectorgheatherb .. thank you Heather, yes I also looked it up this afternoon!! and the description for Yellow corydalis fits - long flowering from Spring till the frost,, likes shady / semi shaded areas, Suggestion to deadhead the flowers if you do not want it to reseeds all over the garden !
@beryl Yes yellow corydalis. I have it in my shady side garden and I've kind of let it run amok there. It flowers all spring and summer and, in my garden, fights with Aquilegia, another enthusiastic self seeder, for space. My shade garden is a rather wild and unkempt place but I kind of like it that way.
