FOR- week 2- 1
This week is not going to be my forte , with lack of opportunity to go out and about , at the moment , the weather is dull and no great contrast for the b/w - But shall muddle along as well as I can -
The wrought-iron gate , modern in design is so different to the traditional designed and built church in the background !
@joansmor@annied@rontu@gardencat@onewing@louannwarren@rontu@gardencat - Thank you - I love your reactions to this gate which I spotted when up in Beddgelert Wales! I have enormous love/hate for this piece of ironwork! My first reaction was " Ooh my G"!!! , then I look at it again , and wonder is there a meaning to this design , and am I completely missing the point ! At least it fills its purpose - ie opens and shuts, ! Keeps out or in whatever that comes along the path - and most of all a talking point !!
A sort of spiders web gate. It’s certainly eye catching but not sure I’m that keen. It does something to the eyes! A talking point for church goers! I’m not going out much either Beryl….so interesting photos either!
You got a great shot, Beryl, and you're right: this gate is certainly a talking point! And it certainly makes a statement, whatever that is. I feel dizzy just looking at it but I do like the contrast in styles in an odd way. Fav
Interesting design- a rather fluid pattern against the rectangular stones. Don't worry about getting out and about- there's probably a few architectural shots right in your own home and there's nothing wrong with using photos from your travels. Good shot.
I love the gate and the building
moments. It is a wonderful gate though.
