Copper mining trucks

These relics of the past are on display in Beddgelert -an advertisement for the copper mine (disused )and a visitors attraction to visit and take a guided tour in part of the mine - I have been down many years ago- it was amazing !!

Oh Beryl you are really taking me back in time now. I remember visiting Beddgelert when we lived in North Wales and of course, had to tell the kids the story of Gelert and his sad end. Two boxes of tissues later, ha ha and an ice cream and they finally cheered up again.

Copper mining, how interesting...these trucks look quite small but there again if you managed to fill even one of these trucks you would be well off!

This is part of my PAST, the haulages that moved these TUBS was my work for many years, it was my job to keep the Steel Ropes in tip top condition, I had to look after miles and miles of ropes and haulages...Fav
