Walmer Castle

Day 266 - We had a glorious day visiting Walmer Castle today. The castle was built in 1540 as part of Henry Vlll's chain of coastal defences. This view is across The Queen Mother's Garden, with the Castle in the backgound. The Queen Mother was Lord Warden from 1978 until 2002 and this garden was created in her honour for her 95th birthday.
