Bourne Mill by bigmxx

Bourne Mill

Day 251 - Today we went to a National Trust property located in Colchester, a Grade 1 listed building called Bourne Mill that still has a working waterwheel. It was built by Sir Thomas Lucas in 1591 as a fishing lodge which was converted into a fulling mill around 1640 and then converted into a corn mill around 1840, which continued working until the 1930s.
A wonderful collage of this interesting place
