In our travels of some back roads today we came across two alpacas wandering at a country intersection. As we were near where the llamas are that I often take photos of, we stopped at a locked gate to the driveway of the homeowner. After honking the horn and yelling to the person we could see on the home's porch we finally got her attention. She said those two were not some of her llamas (as we originally thought) but were alpacas belonging to people down the road the other direction from the intersection. As we were chatting the two loose alpacas came all the way up the road to the fence that encloses our new friend's llamas. She was concerned that either the alpacas or her llamas might jump the fence (they can jump over 5 foot fences!). We backtracked and tried to notify the owner of the alpacas but no one was around. Hope the "kids' made it back to their home! Not our everyday adventure! LOL
Many thanks for your visits, comments, and favs. Much appreciated!
