My 88 year-old mom passed away in late June of this year. I came home from her memorial service with her beautiful wedding and engagement rings. Here, they are nestled in the lace topping a small music box which had also been hers... I thought the combination looked pretty classy! :-)
@pixiemac Thank you for your kind words of sympathy, Sarah! It was actually a blessing for the Lord to finally take my mom home to Heaven. She had lived in a virtually totally-dependent state in a nursing home for the last few years of her life. Now she is whole again and at peace! Yes, I wear her rings on occasion. They only fit my pinky fingers and, of course, I don't want their beauty competing with my own lovely engagement ring. So, when I want to feel a bit more dressed up, or just on the days when I want that visual reminder of her, I put them on my right hand. In fact, i did so today after taking this photo! :-)
A very lovely photo and special tribute to your mother. I am sorry for you loss but I do understand that it can be a blessing when it is "time" for those who have suffered for a long while.
