Commonly called "Oreo cattle" because of their black color (possibly brown or red) with a white stripe through their middles, this breed started in Scotland as a solid-color cow, but got their belts through the introduction of Dutch Belted blood. The origin of the white belt is unknown. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/406309197613489329/?lp=true
@milaniet When our young grandsons first saw these cows near our home, they immediately called them "Oreo" cows because of our cookies that are two chocolate wafers with white cream in between. This was before we had ever officially read or learned anything about them. A local friend of ours raises them.
