Photograph your ABC's N is for Neon Lights

The Marquee on the Princess Theatre is one of the more well known landmarks in Edmonton. The Theatre opened in 1915. It was home to movies, vaudeville acts and musical concerts.
The outside is done in marble from British Columbia. The marquee was actually added on at a later date. it was the only theatre on the southside of Edmonton until 1940. It continued in operation until 1958. From 1958-1973 it was home to various retail outlets.
In 1973 it was returned to its original use and today is one of just a few single screen theatres left in operation in the City od Edmonton
It's a lovely building with NEON lights.

What an interesting history. I'm enjoying how you're taking us on a tour of your beautiful city as you walk through the alphabet. Nice neon!

@summerfield Yes it really is. It is such a busy avenue that it is hard to get a picture of the building without a vehicle in front of it
