This is definitely not an Easy-Bake Oven

The outdoor bake oven was a common feature in Hudson Bay Company Posts. Located outside the clerk's quarter's kitchen.. Many times it was made of clay and rock. A small opening was used as a flute while the other opening served as the door.
A wood fire was lit inside and burned for about 40 minutes. The coals and embers cleaned out. The dough would then be placed inside using a long paddle. The Door was then sealed. The bread would be baked about an hour. The oven was used year round
At times they do actually have people here baking bread in the oven. However on this day it was not in use
wow, that's what your ovens looked like, fascinating shot. We had a similar system over here, with just one oven for a village, but I haven't seen any traditional bake house ovens

Our little historical group had a bread oven like that years ago. We lost the permanent site and it was not worth rebuilding each year.
