Back to the Future

After a couple of days of being in the 1800's photowise at least. I thought it would be nice to get back to today.
For a change of pace I took the train to work. Our LRT (light rail transit) system started running in 1978 in time for the Commenwealth Games. At that time we had five stations going from the northeast to downtown
Today we have fifteen stations from the northeast to the far southside. With plans for more expansion going to the southeast, west end. and northwest. Future plans also include going to the neighboring cities and out to our International Airport
This is the Belvedere Station with some of our older cars
Excellent perspective shot. Has real cool feel to it.

@http365proj Thanks for the comment. Thr train here is one of the older ones. They have recently purchased a fleet of new ones and not that long ago they did some renovations on the station

@shanne Thanks. The trains here are older ones although they have recently purchased a fleet of new ones. As for empty trains, they don't stay empty for long. by the time I got on it was standing room only

love the movement here.

Cool shot--love the lines and movement. I really admire your transit system--so clean and still expanding. My city has no rapid transit--just an inefficient bus system that keeps cutting back its service because of budget crunches.
