Well today I thought I would go back and post one more picture from inside one of the historic buildings located on Whyte Avenue.
Greenwood Books is located inside the the Ross Block which dates back to 1894. This was the first time I went inside here and I did enjoy browsing through a great selection of books and I enjoyed the look that the brick wall lent to the ambiance of the whole place
you know, brian, here in toronto, there is only one bookstore that is competing with the giant cole/chapters. and i like going there, almost something similar to this bookstore. the ambiance this bookstore has is the one thing missing in the big bookstores. in here, the books are waiting to be read. in the big bookstores, the books are waiting to be bought.
@summerfield That is so true. I really do enjoy going to stores like this. We do have a couple of them that are doing well. We also have many smaller ones that seem to be hanging in there
It is so nice to see the older, smaller book stores still in business. So sad when one closes their doors. I love the smell and the feeling you get when you walk inside. (I like the lighting in your pic too.)
