Well have a seat as we take a look at the Legislative Chamber. The left side is for the government. The right side is for the oppositon. Currently the governemnt uses part of the seats on the right as they do not have enough seats to accomodate all of the members on thier own side.
A portrait which can not be seen hangs on the wall behind the government. Notice the portrait of Prince Philip on the wall.
The small desk is for the Sergeant-of -Arms. The larger desk is for the legislative clerks. The large chair is the Speakers Chair
The black rectangle on the wall houses cameras as all of the proceedings are televised.
The carpet and the chairs are done in green following a tradition that states that the original British Parliament met outdoors so therefore the colour green was chosen
Now we will make our way back out to the Rotunda
@peterdegraaff Let me clear that up They do face each other it is just that the government has more people elected than they have seats for so they had to have some of them sitting on the side of the opposition
