Checking out the Fairway by bkbinthecity

Checking out the Fairway

Went walking again today through Victoria Park and Golf Course. I spotted some Canada Geese. So I found a place where I could get a shot of them when I also noticed a rabbit near by. So I took a few shots but this is the only one that I was able to capture both the geese and the rabbit in it.
I was throiugh this area on Saturday afternoon and the grass was completely covered in snow. What a difference a couple of days of sunshine can make
Wonderful capture, Brian!

Is this what they mean when they say, 'Birdie,' in golf?
April 10th, 2012
Great capture! Love the Canadian Geese. They used to congregate in a field near our train route. I would see them every morning. Recently they filled the field with BUILDINGS! So... no more geese.

@bdb3471 You QUACK me up!

good one, brian. the medley of the branches intrigues me quite so. i'd have preferred that you included the whole trees, but i suppose you take whatever you can under the circumstances. those birds and rabbits they move so fast.
April 10th, 2012
Great capture
April 10th, 2012
The geese look like they're discussing which club to use! Nice catch!
April 10th, 2012
Neat capture! I saw two large flocks of geese, flying north, this afternoon. Winter is over, spring is here, which will be quickly followed by summer, so they are probably headed for a cooler climate.
April 10th, 2012
Wonderful capture of the beautiful sunny day! Even the animals are enjoying it!
April 10th, 2012
awe very cute to capture the easter bunny sunning after a busy day!
April 10th, 2012
Very cool shot! Wait, that's still snow on the ground?
April 10th, 2012

@kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi
April 10th, 2012
@summerfield Well the golf course at this point of the season does not want anyone on the grass. So I went as far as the pavement went. I was tempted to go out a little futher but was afraid of getting caught so this is what I ended up with
April 10th, 2012
@definitelydeb That is to bad about the buildings. I hope you have some geese elsewhere
April 10th, 2012
@bdb3471 Good one
April 10th, 2012

April 10th, 2012
What a great capture of these geese and this bunny. I know how it goes as you wish they were closer together but so nice to include both in this beautiful place.
April 10th, 2012
wow wonderful find for your pic.
April 10th, 2012
I like the evergreen trees in the back with the bare branches at the front; maybe (hopefully) that was the last of your snow.

I'm glad the weather is warming up for you! My children were busy trying to make friends with some Canadian geese this afternoon. The geese noticed they had nothing with them to eat so weren't interested!

Cool capture ...still a bit of snow ...as we dont have snow am curious, do you have a golf season?
April 11th, 2012
Nice capture. The geese reminded me of Boise, Idaho, where my son used to live. I wondered how far Boise is from Edmonton, so I Google-mapped it--almost 1,000 miles!
April 11th, 2012
@eudora It is amazing how many places have Canadian Geese
April 11th, 2012
@michelle58 It usually runs from the end of April through to mid October
April 11th, 2012
Hope this is finaly the last snow for you!
April 14th, 2012
@maaikel I was hoping for that to until I woke up this morning to more
