Around The World--Greetings Everyone

So Melody's brother and his family lived in Kansas City for eleven years. We made a few trips down there. On one of the trips we paid a visit to tour the headquarters of Hallmark Greeting Cards. As you can see it is a huge plant and it was a very interesting tour.
That does sound like an interesting tour! Did you get a free greetin card??

I had no idea such a place existed - obviously I know the name. Is it still there? I believe the industry, like many others, is having a tough time. E Mail and desktop publishing must have hit hard.

Great capture of these massive headquarters. Our family really enjoyed our trip to Kansas City last year. I could not talk them into taking the tour - I so wish we had.

Hallmark and American Greetings are the two big ones here- I'm not sure who's bigger but they both produce nice cards. Although a lot of people have gone digital I think they're still holding their own against e-cards. I think what's going to do them in is not the electronics but the postal system. Good shot.
March 22nd, 2013
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann. I took a look at Hallmarks website and discovered they have also embraced the e-cards as well
March 23rd, 2013
The Hallmark tour is one we've not seen on our cross country trips. Have to put that on our "do list" for next time. Sounds really interesting.

@aglennc It is worth taking the time to see. I am sure it has changed a lot since were there
