So first let me thank everyone for your kind words on my picture from yesterday which in hindsight I think is one of the worst pictures I have posted on my project to date. What was I thinking.
Anyway have you ever had one of those moments where you just wanted to scream at the top of your lungs. I had one of those moments at work today, I am sure it would have made me feel better. It was just one of those days. So when I finally got to leave work I was walking past this pub and I thought that this would make a fun shot. Yes we still have a whole lot of snow left in some places as you can see. Hopefully the warm weather and sunshine will soon find its way to Edmonton. In the mean time I guess I just have to put up with it and keep searching for those fun and exciting shots
We barely got snow this winter and I forgot how it looks when it lingers. Hope tomorrow is a better day and spring starts showing its face in Edmonton!
I like the comp and pov of this. I am tired of all this snow... I don't know if you guys up there had any of the storm that we are having now. :( 5-10 cm more roughly with winds. Highways travel not good again.
I sometimes think we need a screaming room to let off that stress! You have a lot of snow left. Someone just told me a good one-liner "The sun called - he wants his day job back". I hope they give it to him!
I know just what you mean about wanting to scream - I had lots of those days before I left my last job! Sorry to see you are still having to put up with the snow, I hope it clears soon!
Can I join you with that scream? hahaha! Yes, I get that feeling quite often when dealing with teenagers. Anyyway, I understand about finding exciting shots. It can't happen all the time.
Wow! I'm sure Edmonton is a great place to live but right now I'm glad I live in the sunny south where Spring has already arived. Nice shot but brrrr...
Sorry for the cr*p day.... I see you're still in snow wonderland too! I knew you were cold, but I did not thing you had so much snow.
Good one on the shot, so appropriate
Oh- that's too bad!! I hope things pick up for you ASAP!! You know, you have to post the bad ones so you can better appreciate the good ones! Good shot.
Lovely colours and composition. I see the snow looks to be the same where you are as it is here. Here's to an awesome summer and the patio being open ......soon!!!
I agree with Ann..we have to take the good with the bad at times. it won`t be much longer now before Spring has taken over..in the meantime I posted a collage. called it Winter`s last Hurrah. we had freezing rain overnight and everything is ice covered.
Oh my goodness I don't know how you deal with those long winters. We had a late Spring this year - had to wait for April for it to arrive. This is a good depiction of just how much snow you have on the ground!
This is, however, a great "winter" shot!
Ian
