Rural Alberta by bkbinthecity

Rural Alberta

So this week is extremely busy at work as we are printing and then getting almost 3 million flyers ready to be mailed out for two different companies. Having said that I am using a filler tonight. This was a shot that Melody took when we went to visit her aunt and uncle in Tofield.
This is an old grain elevator in between Tofield and Riley. Although this one is no longer in use you do still see these scattered across the prairies and I thought some of you would enjoy seeing this. I am a couple of days behind in responding to all of your comments. I do appreciate them and hopefully things will soon settle down and I will get myself caught up
Awesome shot

Nice capture of a passing era. Modern transport has reduce the need for many of these older structures that soak up $$$s in maintenance. Sad to see them go.

It is a wonderful photo and sad that they are becoming extinct.

Nice one!! Glad to know there are still the old grain elevators in some of Alberta. They have done away with theold iconic ones we have always been so familiar with in Three Hills, at least. We miss them.
