Well I have been out of touch for a couple of days as we have had some internet problems. Things just got restored this evening. Last week we had our Civic Elections and today the new city council was sworn in. I took a couple of hours off work and met Melody downtown at City Hall to take in the ceremony. One of our friends was elected as a city councilor so we went down to watch this important moment for her.
I took this picture as we were waiting for the ceremony to start as I wanted to take a couple of test shots to see what setting would work the best. I actually ended up liking this shot because of the sunlight shining in on the wall and flags like this. It will be interesting to watch how things go with our new city council as we have a new mayor and six new councilors. Our friend Bev is the only woman elected this year so she will have a bit of a challenge ahead of her I am sure
