Government House Grounds

A few days ago I posted a picture of a fountain that had not been in operation for many years. This is a shot of the grounds on which it is situated. You can see it off to the left. On the right is Government House. So often when I come here I focus on the house itself. this is the first time shooting the grounds as a whole

@kwind Well Kim at one point that is exactly what this was. This was where the Lt Governor and his family would live. It was used for this purpose from 1913-1938

I love the long shadows, they give the picture a slightly spooky look and make one wonder if the hollow groans of long-dead politicians might be heard here!
