We interrupt this Day Trip Tour For....

......some very good news. This is McDougal United Church which is over 100 years old. It currently is in need of major renovations and there was concern that it was going to be torn down. Yesterday the building was designated a provincial historic site and that means it will not be torn down.
As well the government is adding funding to kick start the work.
They are hoping the community will now pitch in to help with the rest of the renos.
It is a great building and we have been here for numerous concerts. As well Melody's Great Grandmother was married in this church.
Well it is the Easter weekend and that means a long weekend so enjoy your Easter holiday
Very appropriate and timely photo, Brian. Happy Easter!

Keeping history alive is so important - particularly when there's a family connection. Your juxtaposition of the old and the new in this shot is wonderful.

I think this beautiful church fits in nicely with the surrounding modern buildings.....they can all live happily together in my opinion. Sensible descision.....when these old places are gone they are gone!
