Today I am posting this picture as a tribute.
Last night tragedy hit home in a real sense. A family on my Mom's side are farmers in Central Alberta near the small town of Withrow. While in the middle of harvesting their canola crop their three young daughters were playing in one of the grain trucks and ended up being covered in the canola seed and were suffocated. By the time they managed to pull them out two of the girls were pronounced dead on the scene. The third was flown by air ambulance to Edmonton. She passed away this morning. Their youngest, a son, was not with them at the time. Please keep this family in your prayers as the parents and their son now are left behind to deal with this. Of course something like this also affects the whole community
A beautiful tribute, my heart goes out to this family, I can't even imagine their sorrow & loss, my loving thoughts & prayers will be with them. Thank you for allowing others to support them in this way...
That is so sad. My heart goes out to the family. There seems to be so much tragedy at the moment. This week here a 6 week old boy lost his mother in a car accident, he was unharmed, a 11 year old boy was shot in a hunting accident and someone died after falling into one of the thermal hot pools in a city park. My thoughts go out to all those affected.
It is a very sad story and my heart breaks for the loss of three young girls and the pain they family is suffering. I will send some good thoughts there way. This is a wonderful tribute image.
How horrible. What a tragedy to loose all three daughters in such a way. My sympathy. The picture is great. It makes an ordinary building look special.
OMG what a terrible accident. The family, all of you, are surely in our thoughts and prayers. What a perfect shot for a tribute to the family. We can not even imagine what the family is feeling and how they are going to cope with their loss for the rest of their lives.....
Oh, my heart just breaks for them. It is so devastating. My deepest sympathies to the family and community. I know people will rally around them- farming communities are very close. My prayers will be with them.
@bkbinthecity - oh, my goodness, brian. sorry, in my haste, i didn't read your narrative above until today. my heartfelt sympathy to your family for this tragedy. my thoughts and prayers are with them.
Oh Brian, that is such an awful tragedy. I don't know how they will cope. I have also lost a daughter but to lose three must be more than anyone could bear. Sending prayers.
Brian, we got a call from my family in Three Hills, AB. this morning. They know of this family, and a friend of theirs and an uncle to the three little girls is cartoonist Ben Crane. We are still reeling with the news of this terrible tragedy and can not get our minds off our thoughts and prayers that go out to their entire family and their community.
I don't know what to say.....this is something that will turn you whole live upside down....All I know is believe...You will never get answers to "why". I know. I lost a baby girl, just 10 months old, in 1983 and my son in 2008 in a car crash. He was 29 years old. It is very hard to deal with. Other people try to understand but before you did not loose a child you do not know what it is like. They are in our prayers.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. (2 Thessolonians 3:16)
P.S. It's a beautiful capture and tribute you've posted here.
