A Well Lived Life

Melody and I are Certified Community Chaplains here in Edmonton. From time to time we are called on to conduct funeral services.
Today was one such occasion. The lady who passed away was 94 years old. I lead the service and Melody assisted by leading in the Hymns and reading a special thank you from family members who were unable to be there. Melody's dad served as the pianist for the service . He is 92 years old himself.
The lady was originally from Cape Town. Most of her family still lives there. Her younger sister traveled here to be at the service. It was a pleasure getting to know her these past few days and she gave us an invitation to come and visit South Africa
Great to lead the service.

A task many would not take on, I expect her family is thankful that you were able to celebrate her life with what friends and family were able to make the service.

My- from South Africa to Canada- that's some relocation. I'm glad the family was able to participate even if it was remotely. It means a lot for families to be together at times like this. I'm sure your family put together a beautiful service for her.
